How to Build Your Own Sushi Bowl at Sus Hi Eatstation
· By the Sus Hi Team
The Sus Hi Build-Your-Own Experience
Sus Hi Eatstation is built around one simple idea: great sushi, your way. Whether you are a sushi veteran or trying it for the first time, the build-your-own process is designed to be fun, fast, and flexible. Here is how it works.
Step 1: Choose Your Base
Start with your foundation. Options include white rice, garlic brown rice, romaine lettuce, or a mix of any two. White rice is the classic choice. Brown rice adds a nutty flavor and more fiber. Romaine lettuce keeps it light and low-carb. Cannot decide? Half-and-half is always an option.
Step 2: Pick Your Proteins
This is where it gets fun. Bowls come with 2 to 5 proteins depending on size. Choose from tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, fire salmon, chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura, krab, tofu, and more. Mix and match to create your perfect combination. Note: tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, and fire salmon are served raw.
Step 3: Load Up on Toppings
Toppings are where you add texture and freshness. Options include mango, avocado, cucumber, edamame, scallions, pickled jalapenos, pickled carrots, tempura flakes, bacon, cheese, and more. There is no wrong answer here.
Step 4: Choose Your Sauces
Sauce makes the bowl. Sus Hi offers a rotating lineup of house-made sauces including spicy mayo, eel sauce, ponzu, sriracha, and the legendary Ghostfire sauce for those who want heat. Most bowls come with 3 sauce choices.
Step 5: Add Seasonings
Finish with seasonings: sesame seeds, furikake, chili powder, or a squeeze of lemon. Small touches that make a big difference.
